Anna Mae Stephenson – Myrtle Beach SC

Anna Mae Stephenson, age 89, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of her family.

Anna Mae was born on October 25, 1936, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to William “Roy” and Elizabeth “Hazel” (Johnson) Hannaman. She lived a life defined by love, family, dedication, and cherished memories.

For more than 26 years, Anna Mae served as the Office Manager for Dr. Jack Stark in Belpre, Ohio. She was known for her kindness, dependability, and the care she showed to those around her.

Anna Mae was preceded in death by her first husband, Gary L. Cutlip, with whom they had three children. After seven years of being single, Anna Mae found love again and married John H. Stephenson. John, who had also experienced the loss of his first wife to cancer, brought two children from his previous marriage into their blended family.

Anna Mae and John shared 49 wonderful years together, and would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on September 24, 2026. Their life together was filled with love, laughter, family, and adventure. Of all their memories, they often said that some of their happiest years were spent traveling throughout the United States and Europe together.

She was a proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren: Jordan (Christina), Berkley, Zachary, Morgan, Ryan, Lan, Jaiden, Erin, Christa, Joel, and Katie; and a beloved great-grandmother to Easton and Asher.
