NAKINA, NC — A surge of emergency activity hit Nakina Fire & Rescue yesterday as three calls were dispatched nearly at the same time, including a motor‑vehicle collision involving a rollover with possible entrapment.
The crash occurred at 16739 Seven Creeks Highway in Tabor City, between Big Avenue and River Road. With Nakina EMS 29 already committed to a separate medical call, Tabor City Medic 25 was requested to respond. Nakina Fire Truck 10, Nakina Engine 29, and Tabor City Paramedic QRV 21 also arrived on scene.
The department noted that situations like this underscore the importance of strong mutual‑aid partnerships, especially when multiple emergencies unfold at once. Coordinated teamwork among neighboring agencies ensured that all calls were covered without delay.
Nakina Fire & Rescue expressed appreciation for the assisting personnel and said they are thankful for the positive outcome of the incident.
