Conway, SC — Horry County property owners who received updated assessment notices this cycle have until September 28, 2026 to file an appeal with the county assessor.
Notices were mailed only to owners whose properties were recently purchased or had significant additions or improvements valued at more than $1,000. Because 2026 is not a reassessment year, all other Horry County taxpayers should see no change in their property valuation.
Property owners are encouraged to review their notices promptly, as assessed value directly affects the amount of taxes owed. Appeals are processed in the order they are received.
