A strong thunderstorm was observed on Doppler radar at 9:09 a.m. EDT over Nixonville, approximately 8 miles northeast of Red Hill, drifting northwest at 5 mph. The storm is producing wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea‑size hail, according to radar‑indicated signatures.
Gusty winds may break off tree limbs and blow around unsecured outdoor items, and minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Conway, Red Hill, Hickory Grove, Homewood, Horry Georgetown Technical College Conway Campus, Hammond, Coastal Carolina University, Hand, Barefoot Landing area of North Myrtle Beach, Nixonville, Lighthouse Care Center of Conway, and Conway Medical Center.
Residents in these locations should remain indoors and avoid windows until the storm weakens or moves out of the area.
