COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC — Two men are behind bars following late-night arrests on Thursday, Sept. 24, after law enforcement uncovered cocaine and methamphetamine operations in the county.
Luis Uriel Aguilar, 31, of Conway, South Carolina, was booked into the Columbus County Detention Center around 11:07 p.m. Aguilar faces felony charges of trafficking in cocaine, maintaining a dwelling or place for controlled substances, and possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver (PWIMSD) methamphetamine. He was also charged with misdemeanor carrying a concealed gun, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting a public officer. Aguilar is currently being held under a $75,000 secured bond.
Shortly before Aguilar’s booking, Francisco Quezada Barrios, 39, was taken into custody at approximately 10:45 p.m. Barrios was charged with felony trafficking in cocaine, felony PWIMSD methamphetamine, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on a $50,000 secured bond.
Both men remain in custody awaiting trial.
