CPSC Recalls Children’s Squishy Toys Over Water Bead Hazards

Squishy Toys Over Water Bead Hazards

RECALL on thousands of children’s sensory squishy toys due to severe internal obstruction risks.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that the affected toys violate federal safety standards because internal water beads can expand if swallowed, posing risks of choking, organ obstruction, severe illness, and death.

The recall covers approximately 37,000 units from ABC Trading Inc., alongside similar items distributed by OKK Trading and Toyworld168.

  • ABC Trading Squishy Dumplings (Model 3655): Translucent toys with glitter and water beads featuring a cartoon face inside a tan bamboo-steamer container.
  • ABC Trading Crazy Squib Balls (Model 3984): Translucent balls with glitter and water beads in white netting labeled “CRAZY SQUIB BALL.”
  • Rainbow Mystery Squishy Bun Toys: Translucent designs with water beads sold online by OKK Trading and Toyworld168.

Immediately take the toys away from children. For ABC Trading items, write “RECALLED” on the toy in permanent marker, dispose of it, and email a photo to recallabc@gmail.com for a refund. Check point-of-sale guidelines for other brands or report unsafe products at SaferProducts.gov
