Unauthorized Vehicle Use Under Investigation on Hunter Avenue

CHADBOURN, N.C. — Local authorities are searching for a missing vehicle following an unauthorized use report in Chadbourn on Wednesday afternoon.

Command staff with the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 100 block of Hunter Avenue around 3:26 p.m. A local resident reported that a black Mazda M6 sedan, valued at approximately $3,000, was taken without the owner’s consent.

Deputies have identified a 42-year-old female suspect in connection with the investigation. The incident remains under review.

All individuals named in this report are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
