Elaine Bradshaw Hemphill – Southport NC

Elaine Bradshaw Hemphill, 81 of Southport, North Carolina, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 19, 2026.

Mrs. Hemphill was born July 21, 1945, daughter of the late George and Eltes Bradshaw. Elaine lived a life filled with love, faith, and a genuine desire to be a blessing to others. Her greatest joys were found in the people she loved most—her family, her friends, and her church family. She had a caring heart and a servant’s spirit, always looking for opportunities to encourage others, lend a helping hand, or simply brighten someone’s day. Elaine found happiness in the simple blessings of life, especially the time spent with those she loved and the friendships she treasured.

Elaine was a faithful member of Beach Road Church in Southport, North Carolina, where she enjoyed worship, fellowship, and opportunities to serve others. Her church family held a special place in her heart, and she generously shared her time and talents with those around her. Above all, Elaine cared deeply for people and found great joy in doing things that made their lives a little brighter. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, kindness, faith, and service that will continue through her family and the many lives she touched. Although she will be deeply missed, her family is grateful for the wonderful memories, the love she shared, and the blessing of having her in their lives.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Phil Hemphill; two sons, Rod Hemphill and wife Della, and Brian Hemphill and wife Heather; four grandsons, Luke Hemphill, Caleb Hemphill and wife Briana, Hunter Hemphill and wife Kate, and Paxton Hemphill and wife Codi; three great-grandchildren, Miller Hemphill, Callahan Hemphill, and PJ Hemphill; a sister, Bonnie Blythe; a brother, Steve Bradshaw and wife Pat; her Beach Road Baptist Church family; and many other devoted friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 14, 2026 at Beach Road Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Beach Road Baptist Church Missions Fund, 4457 Flagship Ave SE, Southport, NC 28461.
