Major Incidents & High-Bond Arrests

• Matthew Ryan Heye (21) of Whiteville: Arrested by the Whiteville Police Department on a felony charge of fleeing/eluding arrest with a motor vehicle. He also faces misdemeanor charges for driving after consuming under 21, reckless driving with wanton disregard, speeding, having an open container, failing to stop at a stop sign, and failing to burn headlamps. His bond was set at $100,000 secured.

• George Cleveland Munn Jr (75) of Riegelwood: Arrested by the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office on serious drug trafficking charges, including trafficking in opium or heroin. Additional charges include possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver (PWIMSD) schedule II controlled substances, PWIMSD methamphetamine, PWIMSD marijuana, maintaining a place for a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $125,000 secured.

• Gyrell Debroise Munn (51) of Riegelwood: Arrested for PWIMSD cocaine, PWIMSD marijuana, possession of drug/marijuana paraphernalia, and a child support violation. He was issued a $55,000 unsecured bond and a $3,121 purge amount.

• Tara Nicole Nobles (34) of Leland: Arrested for PWIMSD cocaine, PWIMSD marijuana, and possession of drug/marijuana paraphernalia. She received a $50,000 unsecured bond.
