Jennifer Loraine Hewett Hammonds, age 62, of Whiteville, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Columbus Regional Healthcare. Jennifer was born on April 2, 1962 in Columbus County to the late Ernest Edward Hewett and Virginia Hazelton Hewett. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two brothers.
Jennifer received an Associate Degree in Business, Accounting as well as Systems Analyst. She was a faithful member of Glory Tabernacle Church. She worked for 22 years as a cook at Dale’s Seafood, Lake Waccamaw.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Wayne Hammonds, four sons Loren Dewayne Hammonds of Salisbury, NC, Bryan Sean Hammonds of Tampa, FL, Brandon Hammonds and Garrett Hammonds both of Whiteville, and 6 grandchildren.
