UPDATE: MISSING PERSON LOCATED
Ricky Dan McGee, who was reported missing from the Supply area, has been located and is deceased.
Deepest condolences to Mr. McGee’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
BCSO states that they all appreciate everyone who shared the missing person information and assisted in the efforts to locate Ricky.

Supply, NC — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Ricky Dan McGee, 48, who was last seen late Thursday night in the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) near Brixley Way, in Supply.
Deputies say McGee was last observed on August 6, 2026, at approximately 11:00 p.m. in the ICW.
He is described as a white male, standing 5 foot 3”, and was last seen wearing tan shorts and a gray tank top.
Anyone who has seen McGee or has information that may help locate him is urged to contact the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office immediately at 910.253.2777 or call 9-1-1
