Bolivia, NC — Ground was officially broken Monday for Brunswick County’s new Health and Human Services and Emergency Operations Center, a four‑story facility rising on the Government Complex campus at 30 Government Center Drive NE in Bolivia.

The 140,000‑square‑foot building will consolidate Health Services, Social Services, Environmental Health, Public Housing, Emergency Management, and Veteran Services. County officials say the combined campus will streamline access to critical programs while expanding capacity for emergency response and community support.

Construction is underway with a projected opening in February 2028, when the county expects the new center’s doors to open to the public.
