Felony Flytrap and Meth Charges Lead to Three Arrests in BSL

BOILING SPRING LAKES, NC — The Boiling Spring Lakes Police Department has announced three recent arrests stemming from a February investigation and a separate traffic stop conducted this week.

Police arrested Timothy Edward Carter, of Bolivia, in connection with a February 8, 2026 incident involving the unlawful taking of Venus flytraps. Carter was charged with felony taking of Venus flytrap and later released after posting a $2,500 secured bond.

On August 17, 2026, officers conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the arrests of two individuals from Winnabow: Robin Maria Montpeirous and Adam Michael Miller.

Robin Maria Montpeirous (BSLPD)

Montpeirous was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and additional traffic‑related offenses. She is being held at the Brunswick County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond.

Adam Michael Miller (BSLPD)

Miller was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of an open container in the passenger area. He is being held at the Brunswick County Detention Center under a $5,500 secured bond.

The Boiling Spring Lakes Police Department stated it remains committed to protecting the community and enforcing state law.
