Brunswick County Early‑Voting Plan Approved Without Dispute

Four sites confirmed; fifth location still being evaluated

The North Carolina State Board of Elections on Thursday, August 20, 2026, unanimously approved Brunswick County’s early‑voting plan for the 2026 election cycle. Because all members of the county board agreed, the plan was adopted smoothly without requiring state‑level intervention.

Brunswick County’s plan sets four confirmed early‑voting sites, with a fifth location still under review as officials work to expand coverage in fast‑growing areas of the county. Saturday voting is included, while Sunday voting was not adopted.

The approved Brunswick County early‑voting sites are:

• Leland Cultural Arts Center – 1212 Magnolia Village Way, Leland

• Brunswick Center at Supply – 101 Stone Chimney Road, Supply

• Sunset Beach Community Center – 200 Station Trail, Sunset Beach

• Homer Wright Events Center – 4136 Southport‑Supply Road, Southport

County officials noted they are still evaluating options for a fifth site, likely in the Calabash or Southport area, to better serve voters in the southwestern and coastal portions of the county.

Early voting for the 2026 general election will run October 15–31, following the statewide schedule. While traditional Election Day will hold firm on its standard date of November 3, early voting offers residents ample opportunity to cast their ballots ahead of time.
