Myrtle Beach, SC — At 7:01 p.m., Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched to the 2000 block of Oakheart Road in the Carolina Forest community for a commercial structure fire incident, with smoke reported throughout the building.
Crews located and isolated the source of the smoke, and the incident was brought under control. One person was transported to the hospital with injuries. Firefighters ventilated the building for a time, to clear residual smoke.
The response took place as severe thunderstorms moved through Horry County, bringing heavy rain along with frequent lightning and thunder across the Myrtle Beach area.
