Leland Board of Adjustment Sets September 1 Meeting

Town of Leland

Brunswick County, NC — The Town of Leland’s Board of Adjustment will convene on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Leland Town Hall, located at 102 Town Hall Drive. The meeting is open to the public.

The meeting will open with the call to order, pledge of allegiance, and approval of the agenda. Board members will then review minutes from the August 4, 2026 meeting.

A quasi‑judicial hearing is scheduled, beginning with conflict‑of‑interest and disclosure statements, followed by the swearing‑in of witnesses. The board will hear a variance request from Sec. 66‑276 (3)b involving Brunswick County Tax Parcel ID 0470001216. The request seeks relief from a section of the Town’s zoning ordinance that regulates setbacks, lot standards, or other dimensional requirements, depending on the specifics of the parcel. The Board will review the applicant’s evidence and determine whether the variance meets state‑required findings.

The agenda also includes old and new business, along with monthly staff, board, and committee reports. The next regular meeting of the Board of Adjustment is set for October 6, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Town Hall.

For questions, residents may call the Town Clerk’s Office at 910‑332‑4297 or email the department directly.
