Terry Wayne Long, age 73, of Chadbourn, NC, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Born February 12, 1953, in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late James Franklin Long and Alene Williams Long.
He was a York Rite Mason, a member of Tabor Lodge 563, a Sudan Shriner for 50 years as well as a member of the Columbus Shrine Club.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy McPherson Long of the home, two sons, Dustin Long (Christine) of Chadbourn, NC and Terry James “TJ” Long (Nikki) of Whiteville, NC, one daughter, Terra Long Coats (Jesse) of Loris, SC, one brother, Frank Long (Linda) of Buies Creek, NC, and five grandchildren, Keylin, Derek, Ella, Addison and Tyson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 3:00pm in the Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church with burial to follow with Masonic Rites in McPherson Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church.
