MYRTLE BEACH, SC — A 24‑year‑old man was arrested early Monday after Myrtle Beach police responded to a report involving the pointing and presenting of a firearm along South Ocean Boulevard.
Officers encountered Zachary Lee Proveaux, 24, in the 1000 block of South Ocean Boulevard at approximately 2:55 a.m. on September 7, 2026. During the investigation, police determined Proveaux was involved in an incident where a firearm was pointed or presented at a person. He was arrested on two felony counts related to the firearm incident.
Proveaux was also charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication, a misdemeanor offense under South Carolina law.
