Forecasters say water could rise up to one foot above ground level, enough to push water onto low‑lying roads and flood‑prone spots near tidal channels. Minor coastal flooding is the primary concern, with impacts expected to remain localized.
Residents in vulnerable areas are encouraged to secure outdoor items such as furniture, garbage cans, and loose materials that could be displaced by rising water. Motorists should allow extra travel time and avoid any roadway covered by water. Officials stress that drivers should not move barricades or attempt to pass through water of unknown depth, as hazards may exist beyond closures.
