Mr. Jimmy C. Clewis 76, of Whiteville passed on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 in New Hanover Novant Medical Center, Wilmington. He was born on July 8, 1950 in Columbus County, the son of the late Lonzie C. Clewis and Ora Jane Clewis.
He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl N.Clewis, stepsons, Colby Suggs, Ethan Suggs; brother, L.C. “Greg” Clewis and wife Kimberly of Shallotte, N.C.; sister, Earlene C. Noble and husband Baird of Whiteville, N.C.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Lonzie Butler Clewis; sister, Helen C. Monroe; stepson, Jason Suggs.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday September 28, 2026 at Peacock Funeral Home with Rev. David Clewis and Rev. Charles Cribb officiating. Burial will follow in Peacocks Columbus Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on at 6:00-8:00 pm on Sunday September 27, 2026 at Peacock Funeral Home.
