Roy Wilkins Stevens passed on September 26, 2026, at the age of 88, and was a resident of Longs, South Carolina. Born in Horry County on July 10, 1938, he was a son of the late John and Elma Stevens.
He is survived by his partner of 10 years, Margaret VanAllen; his son, Kenneth Orr; stepson, Dana Smith; and his two sisters, Athene Long and Barbara Barker. He was preceded in death by his parents along with his brother, Winston Stevens and sister, Peggy Inman.
Roy was a proud veteran of the United States Navy where he served our country proudly for 22 years. He and Margaret loved traveling and shared many road trips together in their RV. Roy enjoyed being on the go and he was always up for going out to eat with his friends and family. He was a kindhearted man who will be deeply missed by all those who loved him.
Visitation will be held at Lee Funeral Home, 11840 Highway 90, Little River, South Carolina 29566, on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
