TABOR CITY, NC — A months-long narcotics investigation into drug distribution in the Green Acres community culminated in a raid on Friday, Sept. 25, resulting in the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of cocaine and marijuana.
According to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, the Vice Narcotics Unit initiated the probe after receiving reports of illegal drug sales centered around a home at 515 Pine Circle Road in Tabor City. Over several months, undercover narcotics detectives conducted multiple controlled buys at the residence.
On Friday, Sept. 25, the Vice Narcotics Unit—with assistance from the Criminal Investigation Division—executed a search warrant at the property, locating and seizing quantities of cocaine and marijuana.
Four Tabor City residents were taken into custody and processed into the Columbus County Detention Center following the raid:

Dalvin Davonta Smith, 26, was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver marijuana, felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver cocaine, maintaining a place for controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. He was placed under a $25,000 secured bond.

Don Cornelius Smith, 44, faces felony charges including possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, manufacturing a Schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine, and possession of a controlled substance on prison or jail premises, along with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $75,000 secured.

Demetrick Shi’heem Smith, 30, was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver marijuana, maintaining a place for controlled substances, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. He was placed under a $15,000 secured bond.

Tanieka Veonka Davis, 31, was charged with misdemeanor simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She received a $1,500 unsecured bond.
