HORRY COUNTY, SC — Horry County has officially opened its new Central Coast Complex in the Carolina Forest area, providing residents with easier access to a variety of county government services.
Located at 332 Hinson Drive in Myrtle Beach, the facility houses offices for the Horry County Assessor, Auditor, and Treasurer, allowing residents to conduct business closer to home rather than traveling across the county.
The complex also includes a satellite Clerk of Court office, Magistrate courtrooms, and Probate Court offices, expanding access to judicial and administrative services in one location.
In addition, the building serves as the permanent home of the Horry County Police Department’s Fifth Precinct, enhancing the department’s presence in the rapidly growing Carolina Forest community.
County officials said the Central Coast Complex is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Residents visiting during the facility’s initial days of operation are asked to be patient as systems and processes are fully brought online.
A ceremonial ribbon-cutting event is scheduled for October 16 to officially celebrate the opening of the new facility and its role as a community resource.
County leaders said they look forward to welcoming residents and providing improved access to services at the new location.
