WHITEVILLE, NC — A Longs, South Carolina man was arrested for driving while impaired Sunday afternoon following a traffic stop by Whiteville Police.
Adam Rostad Riley, 42, of Ashley Manor Road, was taken into custody at 2:44 p.m. on Oct. 4. In addition to driving while impaired, Riley was charged with possessing an open container of alcohol after consuming and failing to maintain lane control.
Riley was booked into the Columbus County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond and was released later that day.
All individuals named in this report are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
