Tabor City Woman Arrested After Repeated Misuse of 911 Emergency Line

Cecilia Victoria Graham (CCSO)

TABOR CITY, NC — A Tabor City woman faces charges after law enforcement officials responded to repeated non-emergency calls to the county’s emergency response center late Tuesday night.

Deputies with the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office arrested Cecilia Victoria Graham, 40, of 101 Jernigan Street, at 11:12 p.m. on Oct. 13. According to incident logs, Graham was taken into custody following an investigation into improper and unlawful use of the 911 emergency system.

Graham was transported to the Columbus County Detention Center and booked on one misdemeanor count of misuse of the 911 system. She was released on Oct. 14 after posting a $750 unsecured bond.

Officials remind residents that 911 lines are strictly reserved for immediate life-threatening emergencies and active crime reporting, as non-emergency calls can delay response times for critical incidents.

All individuals named in this report are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
