Brunswick County Fire Expo Gives Public a Behind-the-Scenes Look at Modern Fire Protection

SUPPLY, NC —  Ever wondered what a fire truck costs or how much equipment is required to outfit a firefighter for emergency calls?

Residents will have an opportunity to find out during the 2026 Brunswick County Fire Expo, a family-friendly event open to the public that offers an up-close look at the apparatus, equipment and technology used by today’s fire service.

The two-day event is scheduled for Friday, November 6, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, November 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Brunswick Senior Center, 101 Stone Chimney Road in Supply.

While the expo serves as an opportunity for local fire departments and fire service vendors to connect, organizers say the event is equally important for residents who want to learn more about the resources required to protect Brunswick County’s growing communities.

Visitors will be able to view fire trucks, firefighting equipment, rescue technology and other apparatus used in emergency response operations. The event also provides a chance for residents to meet local firefighters, ask questions and gain a better understanding of what goes into maintaining a modern fire and rescue system.

With the cost of fire apparatus, equipment and protective gear continuing to increase, organizers hope the expo will offer citizens a firsthand look at where fire protection dollars are invested and why those resources are critical to public safety.

In addition to the equipment displays, the event will feature vendors, food trucks and other attractions, making it a fun and educational outing for families and residents of all ages.

Organizers encourage community members to stop by, meet their local firefighters and see for themselves what it takes to protect Brunswick County’s communities every day.
