Key Boiling Spring Lakes routes to remain closed through November for city infrastructure project.
BOILING SPRING LAKES, NC — Commuters and residents in Boiling Spring Lakes should prepare for local travel disruptions beginning October 26 as crew members initiate infrastructure repairs across two key thoroughfares.
According to municipal officials, work under the PTC8 Road Washout Repair and Improvements Project is scheduled to start Monday, Oct. 26, requiring full road closures along Sunset Road and West Boiling Spring Road. The project operations and corresponding traffic restrictions are expected to remain in effect through the end of November.
Both affected routes will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the repairs. Local access for property owners along the closed segments will be preserved where feasible. City officials noted that detour routes will be posted with clear signage to guide drivers around the construction zones.
The upcoming infrastructure project focuses on repairing past washout damage and implementing structural upgrades to prevent future road deterioration along low-lying sections of the roadway.
Drivers are encouraged to plan for extra travel time and exercise caution when navigating marked detour areas.
