Wednesday, September 9, 2026

• Motor Vehicle Theft (Cerro Gordo): Wanda Hope Dorsey reported the theft of three vehicles—a Chrysler PT Cruiser ($1,000 value), a Dodge Stratus ($1,000 value), and a Nissan Sentra ($1,000 value)—from Charles Ford Road. Reported by Deputy Timothy Harrington.

• Methamphetamine Seizure & Narcotics Incident (Evergreen): Deputies seized 0.73 grams of methamphetamine, glass pipes, a Lincoln Town Car, and drug paraphernalia during an incident on Old Lumberton Road. The offender is listed as a 64-year-old white female. Reported by Det. William D. Holden.

• Failure to Appear Incident (Evergreen): A failure to appear incident was logged on Old Lumberton Road involving a 60-year-old white male. Reported by Officer Timothy B. Stewart.

• Simple Assault (Whiteville): Allan Gene Etheridge and Sandy Gene Etheridge reported a simple assault involving hands/fists and a wooden club on Crusoe Island Road. Suspects are listed as a 56-year-old white male and a 44-year-old white male. Reported by Deputy Trae Marlow.

• Firearm Larceny (Whiteville): Kianna Carpenter reported the theft of a firearm on Bitmore Road after a 9mm shell casing was recovered at the scene. The suspect is listed as a 30-year-old Black male. Reported by Deputy Trae Marlow.

• Firearm Larceny (Clarkton): Mark Anthony Poerio reported the theft of a Sig Sauer P938 handgun ($600 value) from Pridgen Acres Drive. Reported by Deputy Allison S. Pierce.

• Release Order Violation (Whiteville): A release order violation was processed at the Sheriff’s Office on Washington Street involving a 76-year-old white male. Reported by Deputy Joshua Beaman.

• Larceny (Whiteville): Olivia Worley reported the theft of her driver’s license on F M Watts Road. Reported by Deputy Joshua Beaman.

• Residential B&E and ATV Larceny (Riegelwood): Jenelle Evans reported a breaking and entering on Money Hole Road. Stolen items included a Kawasaki 2125 Pro ATV ($4,000 value) and a PlayStation 4 console ($500 value). The suspect is listed as a 38-year-old white male. Reported by Sgt. Drew Zehnder.

• Shoplifting (Whiteville): Dollar General North on James B. White Highway North reported the shoplifting of cookies, drinks, and chips ($40 total value). Reported by Deputy Timothy Harrington.

• Littering & Resisting Officer (Whiteville): An incident was logged at Smyrna Road involving littering under 10 lbs and resisting a public officer. Victim listed as Deputy D. Mack; offender listed as a 32-year-old Black female. Reported by Deputy Da’Norie Mack.

• Fentanyl Bust & Resisting Officer (Tabor City): Officers responded to Swamp Fox Highway East for hazardous littering and narcotics activity. A 35-year-old white male was cited/charged with possession of fentanyl (0.03 grams), littering hazardous waste, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting a public officer. Items seized included a cut straw, hypodermic needles, a small yellow bag, and stained filters. Reported by Deputy Travis E. Tyson.

• Food Fraud (Whiteville): Domino’s Pizza #7483 reported $184.67 in fraudulent food orders (21 hand-tossed 14-inch pizzas) delivered to Legion Stadium on Chadbourn Highway. Reported by Officer Paul V. Carrano.

• Motor Vehicle Theft (Chadbourn): Sandre Dee Coleman reported the theft of a Chevrolet Malibu from Princess Ann Road. The suspect is listed as a 30-year-old female. Reported by Deputy Allison S. Pierce.

• Firearm Theft (Cerro Gordo): Tamela Sue Harrelson reported the theft of a Smith & Wesson M&P 9 Shield EZ handgun from Andrew Jackson Highway SW. Reported by Deputy Allison S. Pierce.

• Rifle & Optic Larceny (Clarkton): Kevin Bell reported the theft of a Radical Firearms .223 REM RF-15 rifle ($529.99 value) and a SIG Romeo MSR Red Dot optic ($50 value) on Crestview Way. The suspect is listed as a 53-year-old Black male. Reported by Sgt. Caleb H. Fonvielle.

• Traffic Violations (Whiteville): A 33-year-old Black male was cited at the Law Enforcement Center on Washington Street for no liability insurance and operating with a canceled/revoked/suspended certification tag. Reported by Officer Mariah Patrice.

• Call for Service (Whiteville): A call for service was logged on Pleasant Hill Road involving a 28-year-old female victim. Reported by Deputy Joshua Beaman.

• Driving While License Revoked (Tabor City): A 49-year-old white female was cited on Ten Mile Road for driving while license revoked (not impaired). Reported by Cpl. Stone A. Lee.

• Discharging Firearm to Incite Fear (Tabor City): Angel Faye Grainger reported an incident on Colonial Drive where a suspect discharged a handgun to incite fear. A Taurus G2S 9mm handgun ($250 value) was seized. The suspect is listed as a 39-year-old white male. Reported by Deputy Nathan Gilbert.

• Property Damage (Bladenboro): Veronica Thompson Alexander reported damage to a mailbox ($40 value) on Arthur Collier Road. Reported by Deputy Da’Norie Mack.

• Detention Center Assault (Whiteville): Bryan Christopher Jordan reported an assault at the N.C. Department of Corrections facility on Prison Camp Road. Three Black male suspects (ages 30, 28, and 36) were identified. Reported by Deputy Nathan Gilbert.

• Possession of Weapon by Prisoner (Whiteville): A knife/cutting instrument weapon was seized at the N.C. Department of Corrections facility on Prison Camp Road. Suspect listed as a 30-year-old Black male inmate. Reported by Deputy Nathan Gilbert.

• Warrant Service (Cerro Gordo): Warrant served on Rough and Ready Road involving Angie Bass Robertson and a 36-year-old white male suspect. Reported by Deputy Austin Inman.

• Online Fraud & Larceny (Whiteville): Mark Todd McCuen reported $800 stolen via online fraud and larceny at the Sheriff’s Office on Washington Street. Reported by Deputy Austin Inman.

• Warrant Service (Whiteville): Warrant served on Washington Street involving a 39-year-old white male. Reported by Deputy Nathan Gilbert.

• Death Investigation (Tabor City): Deputies responded to Ying Lane regarding the death of Tammy Boyd, 60. Reported by Deputy Joshua Beaman.
