HALLSBORO — Law enforcement officers are investigating the theft of heavy farm equipment taken from a residential property on Jockey Road on Tuesday afternoon.
Deputy James Lennon responded to a home in the 300 block of Jockey Road in Hallsboro at approximately 4:21 p.m. after the homeowner, 61-year-old Sheila Freeman Lewis, reported a missing tractor. The stolen vintage tractor was valued at $5,000.
No immediate suspect details were made available in the report, and the case remains under active investigation.
