Robert (Bobby) C. Schultz, of Hamlet, NC, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2026 at the age of 37. Born May 20, 1989, he was the beloved son of Bruce Schultz and Susan Williamson (Robert).
He was baptized Catholic at St. Stanislaus in Lansdale, PA and lived in Lansdale until his family moved to Pinehurst, NC when he was 9. Growing up, he attended Knapp and Pinehurst Elementary schools, West Pine Middle, and Pinecrest and Union Pines High schools. In his youth, Bobby joined the Scouts, played soccer, baseball, and football, and attended Catechism classes.
He loved listening to music and playing video games and dreamed of one day designing video games himself. Later in life, he held positions in the food services industry and devoted himself to his dogs, whom he raised and adored from the time they were puppies.
Bobby was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert and Gladys Schultz and Charles and Joyce Campbell, and by his uncle Steven Schultz. He is survived by his parents, Bruce Schultz and Susan Williamson (Robert); his sisters Stephanie Schultz and Sharon Jackman; his brother, Eric Schultz (Lindsey); his aunts, Stacey Herrick, Kathryn Campbell, Joyce Campbell, and Mary Hopp (Joseph); his uncles, Mark Campbell and Matt Campbell; as well as his cousins, Michael Louis Forte, Scott McKenzie, Charles Campbell, and Lindsay Hopp.
Bobby approached life with a gentle spirit and boundless sense of fun and never took himself too seriously. He will be remembered for his lively intelligence, his playful humor, and a heart as big as the whole outdoors. He has left a large hole in all his family’s hearts. Rest in peace, Bobby, and may God hold you in His Loving Arms forever.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at 11:30 am at St. Brendan Catholic Church.
