Doris J. Creech, 82 of Winnabow died on September 29, 2026. She was born on March 4, 1944 in Letcher County, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Emmett H. Caudill and Rena Vae Maggard Caudill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Creech, daughter, Rebecca Creech Gore, Brothers Fred Caudill and Ted Caudill. She was a member of New Hope Old Regular Baptist Church. Ms. Creech was a retired cafeteria manager at South Brunswick Middle School after many years of employment. She was an award winning Ginger Bread House Maker and will be remembered for baking and decorating beautiful wedding cakes. Ms. Creech enjoyed doing puzzles and collecting cookie jars.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Sasser of Southport and Rachel Hinson of Winnabow; granddaughters, Jamee Carson and husband Ben of Winnabow, Samantha Carson and husband Jacob of Southport and Caitlin Gore of Winnabow; a brother, Ned Caudill of Greenup, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held Monday October 5, 2026 at 3pm at White Funeral and Cremation Service, Bolivia Chapel with Reverend Brian Raleigh officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Bolivia.
Pallbearers will be, Jimmy Creech, Scott Caudill, James Edward Lockamy, Ben Carson, Jacob Carson and Jamee Carson. Honorary pallbearers will be Samantha Carson and Caitlin Gore.
The family will receive friends Sunday October 4th from 6-8 pm at White Funeral and Cremation Service, Bolivia Chapel.
