SEARCH WARRANT LEADS TO DRUG ARREST IN TABOR CITY

TABOR CITY, NC — A multi-month undercover narcotics operation culminated in the arrest of a Tabor City man Thursday following the execution of a search warrant at his residence.

Phillip Tyrone Jenrette, 38, was taken into custody on Oct. 1, 2026, after investigators with the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics Unit and Criminal Investigation Division raided a home located at 469 Carolina Road.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, undercover detectives conducted several controlled buys at the residence over the past several months prior to securing the search warrant. During the raid, officers seized quantities of cocaine and marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia.

Jenrette was charged with:

  • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver marijuana

  • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver cocaine

  • Maintaining a place to keep or maintain a controlled substance

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

  • Possession of marijuana paraphernalia

Jenrette was booked into the Columbus County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond. 

All individuals named in this report are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
