Eligible Medicare Recipients to Receive $90 Part B Rebate

Medicare, Red White Blue Card

One-time payment will be issued automatically to qualifying Original Medicare beneficiaries this October.

More than 20 million Americans enrolled in Original Medicare Part B are expected to receive a one-time $90.00 premium rebate this month through the Medicare Improvement Fund.

According to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, eligible recipients include Medicare Part B beneficiaries living in the United States who do not receive Medicaid assistance for their premiums and do not pay an Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount (IRMAA). Beneficiaries enrolled in Medicare Advantage plans are not eligible.

Most payments will be sent by direct deposit on or around October 8, while paper checks will be mailed later in the month to those without direct deposit. No application is required.

Beneficiaries with questions about eligibility can contact Medicare at 1-800-MEDICARE.
