Conway, SC — A 48-year-old woman is facing multiple criminal and traffic charges, including failure to stop for a blue light, hit-and-run involving personal injury, and resisting arrest following an arrest by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Marnie Jean Zmich, 48, was booked into custody at 12:13 a.m. November 6 and remained incarcerated at the time of publication, according to jail records.

Among the charges filed against Zmich is hit and run involving an accident with minor personal injury. Authorities also charged her with failure to stop for a blue light, first offense, and assaulting, beating, or wounding a police officer while resisting arrest.

Additional charges include driving under suspension, operating a vehicle without a required ignition interlock device, failure to maintain proof of insurance, expired vehicle registration, improper signaling, obstruction of a windshield or failure to have windshield wipers, and defacing a vehicle license plate with intent to defraud.

Several of the charges carried listed bond amounts, including $5,000 bonds for both the hit-and-run and resisting-arrest-related offenses, according to court records.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol was listed as the arresting agency.
