Forrest “Lyndall” Strole, 61, of Whiteville, passed away on Sunday morning, August 23, 2026, in the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Angel House.
Lyndall was born on October 27, 1964, son of the late Larry Strole, Sr. and Amorite Kelly Strole. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Larry Gilmore Strole, Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Jonathan Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.
Family will hold a time of visitation one hour prior to the service, from 2:00-2:45 p.m. in the Chapel.
Lyndall honorably served in the United States Army; he also attended the Chadbourn Church of God.
The surviving family includes his siblings, Gannon Strole and wife, Jennifer, Sharon Strole Smith, Terry Strole; aunt, Bertha Strole; nieces and nephews, Kris McQueen, Larry Strole III, Amanda Strole Hackler (Phillip), Jacob Matthew Strole, and Joshua Michael Strole; great nieces and nephew, Savannah Strole, Bronwynn Strole, Ellie Hackler, and Elijah Strole; two granddaughters; as well as, a host of loving cousins.
