TABOR CITY — A late-night traffic stop escalated into a high-speed pursuit on Swamp Fox Highway West near Tabor City. Deputy Jordan E. Hunt attempted to pull over a Dodge Charger operated by Marvin Magay Green, 43, of Loris, SC, along with passenger Kasie Gwen Leonard, 39, of Whiteville. Green was placed under a $225,000 total bond on charges including felony flee/elude arrest with a motor vehicle, felony possession of Schedule II controlled substance, littering hazardous waste, resisting a public officer, driving while license revoked, and bringing contraband onto prison premises. Leonard was booked into the Columbus County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond on felony possession of Schedule II controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, and providing fictitious information to an officer.

All individuals named in this report are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
