COLUMBUS COUNTY — Sheriff’s deputies responded to a rash of break-ins targeting homes and property throughout the county over the past week.

Delco: On Aug. 31, Deputy Joshua Beaman responded to Parkers Estate where a victim reported a Glock .380 handgun and cell phone stolen from her residence.

Whiteville: On Spinning Road, Deputy Nathan Gilbert reported $2,100 worth of electrical wiring bundles and panel covers stolen during a building break-in.

Chadbourn: A resident on Clarendon Chadbourn Road reported a stolen generator, window air conditioner, and 40lb propane tank totaling $1,300 in value.

Lake Waccamaw: Jo Nicholette Cromartie reported her Jefferson Road residence was broken into, with thieves making off with an A/C unit, a Spectrum modem, and picture frames.
