EVERGREEN & CHADBOURN — Deputies are appealing to the public for information following two separate reports of handgun thefts in rural Columbus County. On Aug. 29, Deputy Travis E. Tyson investigated the larceny of a $500 Glock 43x handgun from a residence on Pleasant Plains Church Road. Later, on Sept. 2, Deputy Allison S. Pierce took a report from a resident on Walls Lane in Chadbourn who reported a 9mm SCCY CPX-1 handgun stolen from her home.
