WHITEVILLE, NC — The Community Development A.C.P. Foundation will introduce its new Southeastern Resource & Logistics Center Food Pantry to the public on Saturday, October 24, with an informational grand‑opening event from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at 5487 Silver Spoon Road, Building B.
Organizers emphasize that the October 24 gathering is not a food‑distribution day. Instead, it serves as an opportunity for families to learn how the pantry will operate, how to make appointments for future pickups, and how to get involved as volunteers. Staff will be on site to explain the Southeastern Resource & Logistics Center’s role in supporting stronger families and healthier communities across the region.
Food distribution will begin later in the season, with two major events already scheduled. A Thanksgiving distribution will be held on Saturday, November 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a Holiday distribution on Saturday, December 19, also from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All future pickups will be available by appointment, which residents can schedule through acpproject.org
