CERRO GORDO, NC — A Cerro Gordo resident was jailed without bond on Sunday morning following a domestic disturbance investigation by Columbus County Sheriff’s deputies.
William Hurt Robertson, 36, of 9696 Rough and Ready Road, Cerro Gordo, was arrested at 11:52 a.m. on Sunday, September 20.
Deputies responded to the residence on Rough and Ready Road following a report of a domestic assault involving a female victim. Robertson was taken into custody at the scene.
Robertson was charged with:

Misdemeanor assault on a female

Misdemeanor crime of domestic violence
Under North Carolina statutory guidelines for domestic violence offenses, Robertson was processed into the Columbus County Detention Center under no bond pending a hearing before a judge.
