CONWAY, SC — A Myrtle Beach man has been sentenced to ten years in prison after pleading guilty Monday to a felony drug distribution charge rather than proceeding to trial, according to Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor Jimmy Richardson.
Aliga Da Sun Farrie Campbell, 30, pleaded guilty to second‑offense distribution of crack cocaine. Senior Assistant Solicitor Joshua Holford prosecuted the case for the Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
Circuit Court Judge B. Alex Hyman presided over the hearing and imposed the 10‑year sentence.
The offense carries a statutory penalty of five to 30 years in prison. Court officials said the judge considered the circumstances of the case and Campbell’s prior record, including a 2023 narcotics conviction that enhanced the current charge and sentence. The offense is classified as a serious crime under South Carolina’s three‑strike law.
The charges stemmed from an August 2025 investigation in which Campbell sold crack cocaine and fentanyl to a confidential informant working with the Horry County Police Department.
“The Narcotics and Vice Section of the Horry County Police Department uses numerous methods and police tactics to identify, arrest, and bring to justice the drug dealers and suppliers in our community. It often takes long hours and months of investigation, but the results in this case and many other cases like it prove that their efforts pay dividends,” Holford said. He also noted Detective Hayes’ work on the case.
