CHADBOURN, NC — A Chadbourn resident is in custody after deputies served a warrant for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
Jason Frick, 45, of Merritt Road, was arrested by the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office at approximately 4:01 p.m. on Sept. 23. Frick was previously convicted in 2012 of attempted first-degree sex offense and indecent liberties with a child, requiring a 30-year registration period upon release from prison.
Frick was booked into the Columbus County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond.
