NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Tidewater Grill & Bistro is preparing to relocate from its longtime spot on Old Highway 17 to a new mixed‑use development now under construction along the city’s main commercial corridor.
The restaurant will move into The Exchange at Sunset Grove, a large residential‑retail project being built at 1799 Highway 17 North, near Anderson Brothers Bank. Developers say the new space will give Tidewater Grill a larger footprint, improved visibility, and access to steady foot traffic from the development’s planned 123 luxury apartments and 54,000 square feet of retail.
Owner Sarah Arnold has confirmed the relocation and said the move will allow the restaurant to expand its kitchen, increase seating capacity, and build out a larger bar area. The Exchange is expected to open in 2027, with Tidewater Grill positioned as one of the anchor tenants.
The restaurant will continue operating at its current location until construction at the new site is complete.
