TABOR CITY, NC — A traffic stop in Tabor City on Thursday evening led to charges and the execution of an outstanding warrant for a Whiteville man.
First Sgt. James Norris conducted a traffic stop involving a GMC Yukon on Minos Meares Road near Peacock Road at approximately 8:34 p.m. on Sept. 24. The driver, identified as Tristan McPherson, 20, of Whiteville, was found to be driving with a revoked license.
McPherson was taken into custody and booked late Thursday night on charges of driving while license revoked (not impaired) and an outstanding charge of failure to appear on a misdemeanor. His bond was set at $2,000 secured.
All individuals named in this report are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
