Baldhead Island, NC — Bald Head Island Public Safety says Friday’s coordinated search for Mr. Nathaniel Bane continued throughout the day with assistance from multiple regional partners. In the 5:00 p.m. update issued on September 25, officials stated that with all the available evidence collected, it’s indicated Bane had left the island.
Public Safety added that an expanded search effort will continue in the coming days. Residents and visitors are asked to remain aware of their surroundings and to call 9-1-1 immediately if they see Bane or have any leading information.
Officials expressed appreciation for the agencies that supported Friday’s response. Participating partners included the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, Oak Island Fire Drone Unit, Oak Island Water Rescue, North Carolina Wildlife, and Brunswick County Search and Rescue.
