Whiteville, NC — Western Prong Baptist Church will celebrate Homecoming on Sunday, October 11, at 10:00 a.m. at 167 Peacock Road in Whiteville, marking 225 years of gospel ministry with a morning of worship, preaching, fellowship, and lunch to follow.
The congregation will welcome Shannon Smith as worship leader for the service. Smith’s ministry focuses on sharing the beauty of Jesus through music and God’s Word, and his more than 25 years of service have taken him into churches, arenas, prisons, and even Carnegie Hall, where he has used his voice to encourage listeners and point hearts to Christ.
Rev. Tim Lee will bring the message. Lee, an evangelist and Marine, travels widely through Tim Lee Ministries with a heart for the local church, the military, and students, faithfully sharing the hope of Jesus Christ.
Church leaders encourage families, friends, and neighbors to attend as the congregation gathers to worship and give thanks for God’s faithfulness.
