WHITEVILLE, NC — A New York driver faces multiple traffic and alcohol-related charges following an arrest on Monday evening in Columbus County.
Munther Esa, 25, of Brooklyn, NY, was taken into custody by the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office at 6:58 p.m. on Sept. 28. Esa was charged with driving while impaired (DWI), reckless driving with wanton disregard, speeding, driving left of center, and failure to wear a seat belt.
He was booked into the county jail and held under a $2,500 secured bond.
