Memorial Ride and Benefit Meal to Honor Terry Walker

Memorial Ride Planned to Honor Terry Walker

Community gathering will begin at Cruzers Drive Thru before countywide ride

WHITEVILLE, NC — A memorial motorcycle ride honoring the life of Terry Walker is set for Saturday, October 10, bringing together riders, friends, and neighbors after Walker died in a deer‑related crash on US 701.

Registration for the memorial ride will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Cruzers Drive Thru, located at 807 Jefferson Street in Whiteville, with kickstands up at 10 a.m. Organizers say the ride will move through several stops across Columbus County, giving participants time on the road to reflect on Walker’s life and show support for his family.

A benefit meal will follow the ride back at the beginning at Cruzers Drive Thru. Organizers noted that the meal cost is not included in the ride registration fee. Even if you are unable to make the Memorial Ride swing around later for the benefit meal and good fellowship.

Registration for the ride is $15.00 for single riders and $20.00 for riders with a passenger.

Proceeds will support the family as they continue to navigate medical and funeral‑related expenses.

Event coordinator Will McCulloch said the ride is meant to honor Walker’s memory in a way that reflects who he was – someone who valued the road, the people he rode with, and the community he called home.
