Horry County Voters Face Looming Registration Deadline for 2026 General Election

CONWAY, SC — With the 2026 Statewide General Election fast approaching, local election officials are urging residents to check their status and prepare for a busy ballot season.

Time is rapidly running out for unregistered voters. The deadline to register online is just hours away, closing tomorrow on Sunday, October 4, at SC Votes.

Once registration closes, attention shifts swiftly to early voting. The state’s early voting period opens Monday, October 19, and runs through Saturday, October 31. Polls will operate Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., though voters should note that all centers will shutter on Sunday, October 25.

Horry County voters will have ample flexibility this fall, able to cast ballots at any of the seven designated early voting sites across the region:

  • Aynor Town Hall: 600 Main Street, Aynor

  • Carolina Forest Recreation Center: 2254 Carolina Forest Blvd., Myrtle Beach

  • Loris Public Safety Center: 3909 Walnut Street, Loris

  • North Strand Recreation Center: 120 Highway 57 South, Little River

  • South Strand Recreation Center: 9650 Scipio Lane, Myrtle Beach

  • County Voter Registration and Elections Office: 1515 4th Avenue, Conway

  • 21st Ave County Complex: 1201 21st Avenue North, Myrtle Beach

Election officials remind the public that a valid photo ID is mandatory to cast a ballot.

For traditionalists preferring to head to the polls on Election Day—Tuesday, November 3, 2026 – specific precinct locations and additional voter resources remain accessible online via SC Votes.
