Myrtle Beach Woman Facing Felony Charges for Assaulting Police Officer

MYRTLE BEACH, SC — 47-year-old woman was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon following an incident involving law enforcement officers in Myrtle Beach.

According to public arrest records from the Myrtle Beach Police Department, Kelly Renee Willard, a white female, was arrested at approximately 1:44 p.m. on October 6, 2026. Authorities apprehended Willard in the 1100 block of North Oak Street.

Willard has been charged with felony resisting arrest by assaulting, beating, or wounding a police officer serving process. Further details regarding the events leading up to the arrest have not yet been released, and the incident remains under investigation by local authorities.
